These terms and conditions form the binding contract between Bourton Business Network (hereafter referred to as BBN) and its Members.

1. Definition of a Member

Members are organisations, sole traders, or business representatives who either pay an annual subscription to join BBN.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting an application for BBN membership, all prospective members confirm they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions in full.

3. Membership Entitlements

Membership of BBN entitles Members to access the benefits and services set out on the official BBN website [www.bourtonbusinessnetwork.co.uk/memberships]. BBN reserves the right to amend, update, or withdraw any membership services at any time. All changes to membership benefits will be published on the BBN website as they take effect.

4. Subscription Term & Cooling-Off Period

All paid BBN memberships run for a fixed period of 12 months from the date of payment. Members may cancel their membership in writing at any time within 28 calendar days of paying their subscription (the “cooling-off period”). If this right is exercised, the full membership fee will be refunded to the Member within 14 working days of cancellation.

5. Refunds After the Cooling-Off Period

All annual membership subscriptions are non-refundable once the 28-day cooling-off period has expired, regardless of whether the Member uses their membership benefits.

6. Non-Transferable Membership

BBN membership is personal to the approved Member and may not be sold, assigned, or transferred to any other individual, business, or organisation without BBN’s prior written consent.

7. Right to Amend Terms & Rules

BBN reserves the right to modify its membership rules, operating procedures, or these terms and conditions at any time, without prior individual notice to Members. Continued use of BBN membership benefits after any such modification shall be deemed full acceptance of the updated terms by the Member. All amended terms will be posted prominently on the BBN website.

8. Membership Pricing

The cost of annual BBN membership is published on the BBN website. All stated fees are inclusive of any applicable Value Added Tax (VAT) or other UK sales taxes.

9. Additional Fees for Events

From time to time BBN may organise networking events, workshops, or activities that are not included in the standard annual membership subscription. Separate, clearly advertised fees will apply if Members wish to attend these events.

10. Payment & Auto-Renewal Process

All membership fees will be collected securely via the GoCardless payment platform.

Two weeks before the expiry of an annual membership, a renewal notice will be sent to the Member’s last registered email address. The notice will confirm the upcoming renewal date and fee. If a Member does not wish to renew their membership, they must notify BBN in writing at least 7 calendar days before the scheduled renewal date to stop payment being collected. Failure to provide this notice will be deemed consent to auto-renew the membership for a further 12 months at the then-current published rate.

11. Social Media & Publicity Consent

Becoming a Member of BBN constitutes the Member’s consent for BBN to feature their business name, logo, representative names, and event attendance on BBN’s official social media platforms, website, and marketing materials, unless the Member provides written objection at the point of joining.

12. Data Protection

BBN will at all times comply with the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) in its collection, storage, and use of all Member personal and business data. A full copy of BBN’s Privacy Policy is available on its website.

13. Accuracy of Member Information

All Members agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information about themselves and their business when joining BBN, and will notify BBN immediately in writing of any changes to their contact details, business status, or representative names.
